Robert F. Kennedy
Why read aloud?
- Reading aloud allows you to expose children to good literature. Picture books also expose the children to many styles of art.
- Listening to a story develops listening skills.
- Listening to a story develops a child's ability to imagine.
- Reading a book that is just a bit beyond the children's reading level gives children an insight into what is ahead.
- Reading a book helps a child develop important language skills that will help them learn to read on their own.
