Robert F. Kennedy

"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.”

Cicero

Why read aloud?

  • Reading aloud allows you to expose children to good literature. Picture books also expose the children to many styles of art.

  • Listening to a story develops listening skills.

  • Listening to a story develops a child's ability to imagine.

  • Reading a book that is just a bit beyond the children's reading level gives children an insight into what is ahead.

  • Reading a book helps a child develop important language skills that will help them learn to read on their own.
